I’m Shahab Khan, an Indian author, poet, storyteller, and graphic designer. I’m a dreamer, a storyteller, and an eternal seeker of magic in the ordinary.

Based in Bhopal, India, I have spent years working across writing and visual storytelling. Alongside being an author and poet, I work professionally as a graphic designer. My creative journey has allowed me to explore stories through both words and visuals, with each medium shaping the way I see the world.

My Journey as a Storyteller

Ever since I was a child, I have believed in the extraordinary power of stories. A good story can take us to places we have never been, introduce us to characters who feel like old friends, and leave us with ideas that stay with us long after the final page.

Over the years, I have written articles, stories, and creative works for newspapers, online platforms, and literary websites. Writing gradually became more than a creative pursuit for me. It became a way to explore people, emotions, society, and the world around us.

Writing Style & Themes

As a storyteller, I walk on two distinct paths. On one hand, I build fantastical worlds to spark imagination. On the other, my work is driven by sharp social commentary. I use storytelling as a tool for dynamic social exploration, where my narratives deeply critique contemporary socio-political environments and give voice to pressing global human situations.

I want my readers to be entertained, but more importantly, I want them to think, question, and reflect on the world around us. Themes such as courage, unity, resilience, and hope also find their way into my work, bringing a balance of harsh realities and human connection.

For me, storytelling is about creating a connection with the reader. Whether a story takes place in an imaginary world or reflects something familiar from real life, I want its characters and emotions to feel genuine.
